The Creative School of Oman employs 33 teachers in grades K-8, which is the grade level section of the school seeking accreditation. Of the total number of teachers k-8, 4 are from Oman and the rest are from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, South Africa, the United States and Iraq .

 

Of the 33 teachers K-8, 17 of them are English speaking. The pupil/teacher ratio for grades k-8 is 15 is to 1.The lower school head supervises k-4 and the upper school head 5-8, as well as 9-12. All teachers have academic degrees.

 

The administrative staff, secretarial staff, librarian technician, counselors, nurse, physical education teacher, and technology person number 14. This group, in addition, serves the 9-12 section of the school.

 

All faculty and staff are employed under written contracts. The cooperative relationship among staff members is obvious. It enhances their achievements and moral. Teachers and support staff are very professional in carrying out their duties. Faculty members and support staff alike praise the director of the school and the director of English for their availability and commitment. Teachers feel involved in decision making while respecting the responsibilities, accountability, and decisions of the 2 directors. They feel they are heard and their suggestions and comments are taken seriously and acted upon. The excellent rapport between the Arabic speaking and English speaking teachers is lauded by teachers. There are also cooperative professional visits with colleagues from other schools. Ideas, methodologies, and educational programs are shared.
